National
Punctuation Day, August 22, 2005
Newsletter publisher Jeff Rubin
founded National Punctuation Day, listed in Chase’s
Calendar of Events, to promote the importance
of proper punctuation in business, education and everyday
communications. We designed a whimsical “mark your
calendar” postcard and pitched a series of news releases
to 1500+ press contacts and online distribution services.
The story was picked up by hundreds of news organizations
across the country, resulting in multiple interviews, story
placements, and television and radio
on-air appearances. And his NPD T-shirt sales soared.
